Local Feature: The Hoppy Vine

When you find yourself in the northwest Tucson area and itching for the perfect place to enjoy a drink, we’ve found the perfect spot! The Hoppy Vine is Oro Valley’s newest hang-out spot and is probably the friendliest bar around!

WHo they are

Our friends, Hector and Marnel Martinez, opened The Hoppy Vine in November of 2022. They have been a dedicated part of the Oro Valley community for many years, and have a deep love for the area and the people of Tucson. Their goal for The Hoppy Vine is to be Oro Valley’s local bar, where everyone is welcome, Cheers-style! And we think they’re doing a pretty great job! The Hoppy Vine has a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to gather. So grab your fellow beer and wine enthusiasts and make an evening of it!

WHAT’S ON THE DRINK MENU

Besides being a great place to enjoy the beautiful evening weather with friends or a loved one, The Hoppy Vine is Northwest Tuson’s go-to spot for anyone craving high-quality, flavorful beers and wines. You can count on finding a wide range of beer styles on tap and in cans, including IPAs, stouts, pilsners, and more. The Hoppy Vine always has a selection of 20 different craft beers, 10 mouth-watering wines, and at least one seltzer and hard cider - all on tap. The Hoppy Vine serves locally sourced brews whenever possible, adding to each beverage's unique and authentic flavor.

The brewery also offers seasonal and limited-edition beers, so there is always something new and exciting to try. This summer, you’ll be able to find frozé (frozen rosé) and icey margaritas to help beat the heat!

If you are looking for something without alcohol, they always have a delicious lineup of non-alcoholic beers, seltzers, and canned mocktails, so good you can have all the flavor with out the hangover. You’ll find tasty NA brews from brands like Athletic Brewing, Hoplark, and Hiyo, just to name a few.

In addition to incredible drinks, you can also find upscale snacks to complement your beverage of choice. The Hoppy Vine features charcuterie boards with a range of meats, cheeses, and fruit, cheekily referred to as “adult Lunchables”. If you’re hoping for something more substantial to eat, you are always welcome to bring in food from another local restaurant. Charred Pie Pizzeria, Tuk Tuk Thai, Fork & Fire are all locally owned and in the same plaza. Also, you can often find Tucson’s local food trucks in the parking lot ready to prepare something delicious for you. Be on the lookout for special events, where you can experience special wine tastings or featured food pairings.

EVENTS + Community

The Hoppy Vine is also known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff who are passionate about beer and love to share their knowledge with customers. If you’re looking for something unique to do, keep your eye on their calendar for information on wine tasting events, and other fun activities like trivia night.

In addition to serving delicious drinks, The Hoppy Vine is also dedicated to supporting the local community. The brewery has partnered with local businesses and organizations and regularly hosts events to raise awareness and funds for important causes. Frequently you’ll find local musicians, artisans, wine purveyors, or young performers featured at the bar.

yes, they have a patio! And THEY’RE dog-friendly!

One of our favorite ways to enjoy The Hoppy Vine is on the spacious outdoor patio, enjoying a breathtaking Tucson sunset and the iconic mountain alpenglow. Like the locals say, “When the mountains turn pink, it’s time to drink!” Their patio is an excellent place to relax and enjoy a cold beer during the warm Tucson summer months (almost as perfect as the backyard of our own Casa Alpenglow, but we may be a bit biased 😉). Pets and kids are always welcome on The Hoppy Vine’s patio, so don’t hesitate to bring them along!

If you're looking for a local brewery in Tucson with great beer, a welcoming atmosphere, and a commitment to the community, look no further than The Hoppy Vine.
